American Cancer Society
Wealth of information about cancer research (including brain cancer) and statistics. Online publication of ACS journals. Directory to local ACS offices which offer publications for parents and educators of children with cancer.

Brain Injury Association of America
This site is filled with articles, links, and current information on brain injury. State chapter addresses and phone numbers are available from this site. Resource information and publications are available through your national and state chapter of the BIA.

Formerly known as John & Clara's TBI/ABI Related Sites and Information. Excellent brain injury resource list under the Support Menu heading.  TBINET features archives for 26 different mailing lists for brain injury and other medically related topics including TBI survivor support, caregiver support, stroke awareness, epilepsy/seizures and coma.

Centre for Neuro Skills
This site features free reprints of published research articles on TBI, an excellent brain map under "Research," and valuable information on mild traumatic brain injury (MTBI). The Traumatic Brain Injury Resource Guide and quarterly TBI newsletter are available online. Large site with a lot of information.

Council for Exceptional Children
An international organization dedicated to improving the educational outcomes for persons with exceptionalities. Access to the ERIC Clearinghouse on Disabilities and Gifted Education from this page (www.eric.ed.gov).  Also provides information on special education conferences and resources. 

Epilepsy Foundation of America
Links to current online magazine, Epilepsy, USA. Additional neurologic articles and publications are available. Answers to FAQs, a marketplace and chat rooms are featured.

Epilepsy in Young Children
Designed as a support page for parents of children with epilepsy. Personal stories posted. Links to epilepsy resources.

Family Caregiver Alliance
An information resource site on long-term care. Has a clearinghouse of fact sheets, online support, legislative alerts, a newsletter and more.

Federation for Children with Special Needs
A center for parents and parent organizations who work together on behalf of children with special needs and families. Online information on IDEA legislation. Many links to related services and organizations.

GSA - U.S. General Services Administration
Home of the Center on Information Technology Accommodation (CITA), the government's principle advocate and coordinator for making information technology available to person's with disabilities.  Search for "CITA" and view selections (1) and (3) for information on Section 508 and the Federal Accommodation Programs.

The Harborview Medical Center Injury Prevention and Research Center (HIPRC)
Evaluates and reports on child injury prevention strategies. Includes interventions for the prevention of pedestrian, bicycle, and recreational injuries.

HEATH Resource Center/George Washington University
National clearinghouse on post secondary education for individuals with disabilities.  Publications and featured resources, FAQs/answers, additional links.  Formerly sponsored by the American Council on Education (ACE).

IM-PACT - Health Sciences Centre
Injury prevention center of Children's Hospital in Winnipeg, Manitoba Canada dedicated to the prevention of childhood and adolescent trauma.  Site features online newsletter and a bulletin board.

L & A Publishing/Training
Lash & Associates produces excellent resources for families and educators of children and adolescents with brain injuries. Offers school series tip cards on brain injury in children and adolescents each with a concise summary of information on a specific topic. Booklets and manuals are also available. Items can be ordered online.

MEDLINEplus
A service of the National Library of Medicine/National Health Institute.  Health topics, drug information, dictionaries, directories. 

National Center for Health Statistics (NCHS) 
The NCHS is sponsored by the Centers for Disease Control (CDC). Use FEDSTATS  A-Z to search information and statistics produced by several public agencies.

National Information Center for Children & Youth with Disabilities (NICHCY)
Many online publications on a wide range of disabilities. Fact sheets, briefing papers and articles are available. Excellent resource site.

National Institute of Neurological Disorders and Stroke (NINDS)
Comprehensive information on disorders of the brain and nervous system.  Free fact sheets and brochures available upon request. Sponsored by the National Institutes of Health.

National Rehabilitation Information Center ( NARIC)
Information on assistive technology, children with special needs, spinal cord injury, stroke, traumatic brain injury, education and many other related topics.  Knowledge base of disability and rehabilitation resources, research  literature and monthly newsletter.

National Safe Kids Campaign
National organization dedicated to the prevention of unintentional childhood injury.

PRO-ED, Inc.

PUBMED
Provides free access to MEDLINE. Search service with access to nine million citations in MEDLINE and Pre-MEDLINE (with links to participating online journals and other related databases. Search by keyword, author, or title.

Special Education Resources on the Internet (SERI)
Links to sites on speech impairment, special needs and technology and many other special education resources. Access to online articles and publications. Excellent resource site.

Traumatic Brain Injury Model Systems
